Random Rant . . .

Two things I'm getting really tired of seeing:

>Cosplay
>Neko's

They're all over the interwebz. I've been tired of anime neko's for a long time since I think they're extremely overrated, overused and maybe even generic but now cosplay's starting to piss me off, too. Everytime I go on dA and check my club/group messages, all I see is like 30 cosplay photographs and like 2 or 3 drawings. It's annoying. Where did the art go? I don't consider costumes art. Unless it's face paint or extreme make-up artist material. Hence deviant/ART/. I'll respect that there are thousands of cosplayers and not everyone's good at drawing but I think it's kind of ridiculous. There should be a seperate website or club specifically for cosplayers. I know that most dA groups/clubs have section or folders for cosplay to be submitted but it's still a nuisance for me. I wish people would actually attempt drawing the characters they cosplay instead of just dressing up like it's Halloween. I, myself, am considering cosplaying in the future but not to the extent where that's all I'm submitting. Also, I won't brag or anything about how I look or how well I portray the character. I don't even do that with my amateur-esc drawings. Rant over.
